Wendy Ewurum was kind enough to invite me over to Fabulosity Reads for a guest post. I'm talking about twists and turns and the unexpected.
Here's an astronomy tidbit:
Asteroid 2005 YU55
Scientists will be tracking an asteroid the size of an aircraft carrier as it flies by Earth on Nov. 8, 2011.
Have a great weekend everybody!

Hello Mary:
We shall be prepared to take cover on November 8th. if this enormous asteroid, for some reason or another, alters course!!
Jó hétvégét.
Yikes. I've been watching too many end-of-the world movies lately.
Why did that animation make me crave a marshmallow? Yum.
Thanks, for the vid. I'm always amazed at the ability of very clever people to find new ways to enhance the sensitivity of pretty mature technologies. I'm excited about the new radar mapping technique and will be interested to see what the data will be like on this pass through.
Interesting post. You have a great weekend too. Take care.
Eeep...kinda spooky.
i will have to read!
thanks for the update! glad it wont be dropping in my backyard like the reporters kept warning!
That's really interesting. You've won the Cherie Reich giveaway from Halloween! :) Congratulations! Cherie should already be in contact with you or she will shortly. Have a great weekend.
I shall be standing out there waiving my hands in case there's an alien ship behind the asteroid. :)
Thanks for the video. I didn't know this was happening.
That Is So Cool!!!!!
Have a wonderful weekend, M.
Great video and a bit scary... let's hope it doesn't change direction:)
Ooh! That's happening on the night of my son's birthday (the 8th!), I'll have to tell him!!
Haven't read the guest post yet, but twists and turns and the unexpected sure rings true for me right about now! :-}
Awh that guy is so seriously sweet! LOL! I like his squishy asteroid sample, reminds me of the Pacers peppermints from the 1970's.
I am flying to Hawaii that day. Hope it doesn't miss its mark and hit my plane. :P
Interesting post! I have my external exams!
Whoah, fascinating! I also hope it stays on the projected path~
Interesting video, one of the benign meteors I guess...there is no way we can be destroyed till we colonise/terraform atleast the moon or one planet in our solar system. ;)
That is if we don't create our own nuclear/global warming doomsday.
An intriguing thought! Thanks for the video.
That asteroid should be cool to watch. I could only imagine if it were my job to track them. That would be a great life.
